The Maspi model
The MASPI Model, developed by Roberto Vaccani (SDA Bocconi), is a tool used since 1995 at Bocconi University and by more than 100 large Italian companies to guide career orientation by comparing individual aptitudes with those required by specific professional roles.
Based on psychology, neuroscience and neurolinguistic programming, it distinguishes between competencies (professionally validated skills) and aptitudes (personality traits that influence perception and action). Aptitudes develop from continuous interaction with one's life environment and reflect individual experiences.
MASPI uses two models: a dynamic one that follows the decision-making process from listening to decision; and a static one based on brain physiology and divided into areas related to different types of intelligence (cognitive, emotional, motor and energetic), to improve selection and company performance.
